While the first half of 2021 may have dragged as we all stayed at home during the lockdown, the days are now flying by as we head towards Christmas.
Last year families were prevented from spending time together during the festive period as lockdowns were announced for much of the country, while people were urged to stay at home and not travel to see loved ones.
But with the big day now less than 100 days away, it’s time to start thinking ahead to how we’re going to celebrate as the nation looks to make up for lost time.
As there are currently no plans for another lockdown in the UK, it is likely that families can once again gather together at the most wonderful time of the year for these festive events.
This now means that Christmas markets are coming back in 2022, which were absent from our towns and cities 12 months ago but look set to return with a bang this time around.
In previous years, Christmas markets have become a tradition in towns and cities across the country offering a range of food, drink and Christmas gift ideas for the whole family.
As one of London’s most popular Christmas markets in the festive season, those looking to head to Winter Wonderland will be delighted to hear that it’s back on Friday, November 19, with its boozy tents, rides, and games.
There’s one catch as you’ll need to pre-book the date and entry time, as well as which attractions you’ll be visiting within the venue.
Another favourite is the Bath Christmas Market, which is back from Tuesday, November 25, in the heart of Bath – which is a ticketless event featuring food, music, a sustainable market, and plenty more.
And, one of the most magical Christmas markets in Britain is Edinburgh’s East Princess Street Gardens Market, which will see festive huts lined up filled with treats, as well as food and drink, plus a Ferris wheel so you can see the sights.
Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is also returning on Thursday, November 4, and will run until just before Christmas located in Victoria Square and New Street.
Christmas markets 2022 needn’t be huge events that are exclusive to major towns and cities.
From village halls and a town hall to local schools, these celebrations of all things festive can be held just about anywhere.
So if you’re planning a Yuletide market of your own, our Event Chalets make the ideal Christmas Kiosk for your outdoor event this year.
Built from fully treated and guaranteed wood that’s made to last, our chalets enable you to create the perfect German Christmas food and drink stalls.
